FAQs

  • 1) I like to start with a short 15 min call to discuss your reason(s) for seeking support. If we decide we’re a good fit, we’ll schedule an intake session and get you set up as a client. If not, I may be able to point you in a direction of someone who is.

    2) In our first intake session, we’ll go over my practice policies as well as a broad view of your life, including family, work, medical conditions, past counseling experiences and personal strengths.

    3) We will likely schedule weekly sessions to start and collaborate on a plan based on your own ideas of success. This helps us see and create the path forward, and know when we’ve arrived. You are free to discontinue services at any point.

    4) I can also provide on-going support through monthly or as-needed sessions to help you maintain the efforts and changes you’ve made.

  • I do not accept insurance directly, and cannot work with people who have medicaid or medicare insurance. If you have a different carrier and you have out of network benefits, I can provide a superbill for you to share with your carrier. I cannot guarantee they will reimburse you.

  • I can only work with people who are physically in the state of Colorado.

  • My standard fee is $150 for a 50 minute session. A credit card is kept on file and charged at the time of service.

You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical care will cost.

Under Section 2799B-6 of the Public Health Service Act, health care providers and health care facilities are required to inform individuals who are not enrolled in a plan or coverage or a Federal health care program, or not seeking to file a claim with their plan or coverage both orally and in writing of their ability, upon request or at the time of scheduling health care items and services, to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” of expected charges.

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

Make sure your health care provider gives you a Good Faith Estimate in writing at least 1 business day before your medical service or item. You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate. For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises

  • It depends. Some people are looking for tools and strategies, or help with a decision and may only meet for 2-3 sessions. Some people are looking for a longer term relationship with someone and may meet for years. You always have the right to discontinue at any time.

  • Yes. I truly enjoy bringing nature and movement into our work together. Often people find it easier to walk and talk... it gets the juices flowing, right? This could look like meeting at a local walking path for 50 minutes or customizing a longer session on a trail.
